The Shardlake Suite takes its name from the central character in C.J. Sansom's novel Tombland, in which the hotel itself appears. The suite is bright, spacious and full of character, with views over Tombland itself, toward the Erpingham Gate, the historic gated entrance to Norwich Cathedral Close. The bedroom boasts a freestanding roll-top bath, with a walk-in shower in the main bathroom, and a king-sized bed that can be made up as a twin on request.

Not on this rate, add it from £20 per person, served in the WinePress from 7am Mon to Fri, 7.30am Sat & Sun.
Can I bring a guest?
Yes, this room sleeps two. Just include both guests' names when you book so we can have everything ready for you.
Is there parking?
Yes. On-site parking for residents is available on a first-come basis from £10 overnight, and we'll validate your ticket at reception. Public parking is also available at St Andrew's car park, an 8 minute walk away.
Can I check in early?
Early check-in is subject to availability, so please mention it when booking or ask reception on the day and we'll do our best. If your room isn't ready yet, we're happy to look after your luggage.
Are pets allowed?
Dogs are welcome in three dog-friendly Executive Rooms, bookable in advance and subject to availability, with a maximum of two dogs per room. Other rooms aren't able to take pets.
Is there a lift?
